This Strategic Plan sets out our five-year goals and describes the strategies we will implement to achieve them. We commit to providing a regular report card to our members to provide updates on our performance in delivering these strategies, and our progress in achieving our goals.

Murray-Darling peak body seeks new CEO
The MDA Board and staff would like to wish the wonderful Emma Bradbury all the best following the announcement of her retirement as chief executive. Ms Bradbury has been in the role since 2014 and says the position has been one of the most challenging, rewarding, and privileged in her long and diverse career. Ms Bradbury will continue to serve the Murray Darling Association until her successor is appointed.

The Murray-Darling Association (MDA) is both concerned and relieved that New South Wales water officials have acknowledged that decades of unregulated and unmeasured floodplain harvesting by irrigators was illegal, according to the minutes of recent meetings as reported by the Guardian.

The Murray Darling Association is deeply concerned by the risk posed by contaminated waste remaining in storage ponds at the abandoned Texas Silver Mines Pty Ltd site, which could be spilled from the site with as little as 40 millimetres of rain, sending cyanide and other heavy metals into the waters of the Murray Darling Basin, via the Dumaresq River.
