Notice of Annual General Meeting

The 71st Annual General Meeting of the Murray Darling Association will be held on Thursday September 10, 2015 at 2pm at the Cobram Barooga Golf Club. Snell Rd, Barooga NSW 3644. There is no charge to attend the AGM.

National Conference

Hosted by the Berrigan Shire Council, the 2015 National Conference will focus on economic, social and environmental balance through the implementation of the Basin Plan. The theme for the year is "It's in the Balance" - Demanding balanced implementation of the Basin Plan to deliver on the triple bottom line - ensuring social, economic and environmental benefits for our local communities.

The 2015 National Conference and AGM provides a an important knowledge exchange and networking opportunity with Local Government, community members, schools, Members of Parliament and State and Federal natural resource management agencies. This will strengthen relationships between the people making policies with those undertaking the work at the grass-roots level to maintain and improve sustainable natural resource management.

Inaugural Inter-Region Challenge

An addition to the the program this year is the Inaugural Inter-Region Challenge which will take the form of a Golf Ambrose, sponsored by the McArthur Group. The tournament will be held Wednesday 9 July at 7am and is a opportunity for regional members to participate in a friendly competition. The tournament will be an Ambrose event, requiring teams of 4 from each region. If you are not in a team, register your interest and we will place you in a team. More than one team per region is encouraged. Prizes will be awarded at the conference dinner. $70 per person.

Expressions of interest must be received by August 21, 2015.

If there is insufficient interest the event will not proceed.
