80th National Conference
"The future of Water Security"
Join us in Tamworth, where local, technical, and political leaders will come together to tackle the big issues of the Basin and forge a future for councils, catchments, and communities.
Tamworth is a thriving regional city and is the heart of the New England region. It’s a destination for family fun, outdoor adventure, foodie delights, the arts and heritage, plus so much more!
Renowned for its laid-back lifestyle, incredible landscapes and generous hospitality, Tamworth is where rich heritage meets outdoor adventure, arts and culture complement luxury, and sports intersect action and fun!
The National Conference is an incredible opportunity for our local leaders to come together from across the Murray-Darling Basin to be part of the solution – to join the conversation, to inform future policy, and to engage with leading innovators, scientists, educators, and leaders of our time.
This year the National Conference will be focussing on The future of water security, a pressing issue that has been identified by our Members as a key point of concern with a risk of impacting Basin communities and industries in the years ahead.
Held at the Tamworth War Memorial Town Hall, the conference will feature keynote speakers and panel sessions including industry heads, State and Federal Government Ministers and representatives, as well as scientists and educators presenting on topical issues that affect the Murray-Darling Basin water resources and communities.
